Overview
The Canvas Works is located at the end of the dock in Sausalito, CA, so naturally we are surrounded by water, boats and marine enthusiasts. We are experienced as sewers and sailors which gives us the knowledge to provide all types of marine canvas services and products.
Our Location
The Canvas Works shop is located on Richardson Bay with a private slip that accommodates boats up to 75 ft. We work directly on your boat from our slip or expansive dock and travel to your location by van or boat. To schedule a project in our slip or have us come out and assess your boat, please send us an inquiry or give us a call.
Our Marine Canvas Services
Our canvas work is all custom made in our shop. We do not stock pre-made products because we want the best fit and functionality for our customers. However, we do design, fabricate and install custom canvas for all types of boats, big or small.

Our Process
We strive to provide friendly service in a timely manner. In addition, we inspect the end product to ensure it fits properly and is equipped to withstand the elements.

- Cost summary or formal estimate sent via email
- Project approval and deposit to order materials
- Design and and fabrication begin
- Project completion with install, pick up or delivery
Repairs
We will do our best to repair existing products to extend their life. You can bring your canvas to our shop or we can pick it up. We will give our best assessment and recommendations about your project. We can replace hardware and windows, restitch, patch, reinforce or clean your canvas. However, in some cases, a new canvas is recommended.
