We can help with almost all general repairs on your canvas. You name it, we can likely fix it! We can tackle most general canvas repair jobs large or small because we are fully equipped with the proper heavy-duty equipment. We endorse reuse over new fabrication and are happy to give your item a new life. For detailed info on general repairs, view our Repairs Tech Flyer.
Often a little too much sun causes Polyester and Dacron threads to rot. The fabric could be in good shape and just needs to be re-stitched with Teflon thread or reinforced at a key wear spot. Seams go from overloading and zippers fail from exposure and misuse. We can patch holes with matching Sunbrella fabric to provide new life to your valuable item.
*Before repairs can be completed, we appreciate if your project is cleaned of debris, mold, dirt and/or dust that may cause damage to our machines. If this task seems too daunting, let us take on the cleaning for you.
RESTORATIONS
Mold, algae, dirt, dust, and debris can facilitate the wear and tear on any canvas product. The Canvas Works takes cleaning seriously. Our cleaning team applies a lot of elbow grease to clean your cover, panel or bag, but we also utilize great cleaning products to ensure the job is completed correctly and not damaging to your product. We have large washing tubs to immerse full covers in soap and mild bleach. Sunbrella fabrics are not affected by bleach so you can assure that the color will stay the same. Bleach can, however, do damage to older threads, thus requiring new stitching with a Teflon based long-lasting thread.
You should clean all canvas products annually and protected with Sun Guard 303. We can then focus on repairs and refurbishing of your item once it has been thoroughly cleaned. Care and Cleaning of Sunbrella Fabric can be found by clicking here.
